Albert O. "Tim" Cordell, Professor Emeritus, Edinboro University of Pennsylvania  

Tim Cordell has degrees from East Carolina University and Catholic University of America (see links below for biographical information). He completed the Ph.D. in Musicology in 1992 with a specialty in the orchestration of Verdi operas after doing research in Milan and Venice. Prior to his tenure at Edinboro, Dr. Cordell taught in public schools in South Carolina and Maryland. He is also a Vietnam-era veteran with service in Washington, D.C. and Fulda, Germany.  While at Edinboro Dr. Cordell was awarded numerous grants and awards for his innovative uses of technology in teaching, and he was the founder and coordinator of two study abroad initiatives, Edinboro @ Edinburgh in Edinburgh, Scotland and Edinboro in Florence at the British Institute of Florence. In 2008 he completed a textbook titled “Encounters with Music through Listener Actions,”
